Stackhouse Joins Miami
Miami, FL – Jerry Stackhouse has joined the Miami Heat one day after the NBA championship hopefuls learned they’ll be without injured swingman Mike Miller until possibly January.
The Heat announced Stackhouse’s signing Saturday.
Miami is Stackhouse’s sixth NBA club. Stackhouse, who turns 36 next month, averaged 8.5 points in 42 games as a reserve for the Milwaukee Bucks last season.
Stackhouse said during the summer that he wanted a chance to join LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami, believing it would give him the best chance at winning his first NBA title. Wade and James said they would welcome Stackhouse if the Heat made a deal.
