Wyoming-Texas Pick
After opening the season on the road, No. 5 Texas heads home where it is a big favorite against Wyoming at 7PM ET on Saturday.
Texas is a 28.5-point favorite at home against Wyoming according to oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com. The over/under has been set at 49.
Texas is 0-1 against the spread this year while also hitting the under in its win over Rice last weekend. The Longhorns 6-1 ATS as a favorite of 21.5-to-31 points over the last three seasons while going 58-44 ATS in all home games since 1992. The Longhorns have hit the under in 15-of-26 games where it is a favorite over the last three seasons.
Wyoming hasn’t played in any lined games this year but is 1-3 against the spread as an underdog of 21.5-to-31 points over the last three seasons. The Cowboys are also 44-55 ATS in all road games since 1992. Wyoming has hit the under in 7-of-8 games as a road underdog of 21.5 points or more since 1992.
Wyoming seemed to have some promise heading into this season, but a lackluster performance against Southern Utah doesn’t bid well for the Cowboys as they head to Texas, where the Longhorns want to send a message after playing poorly themselves against Rice. Normally this spread would probably be larger, but because of Texas struggling, the number seems low. We thing you should jump on this and go with the Longhorns to cover while also hitting the under.
