Utah has dominated UNLV in their series history, but can the Utes pick up a win over more than 22 points on Saturday?
Utah is a 22-point favorite against UNLV according to oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com. The Over/Under is set at 54.
Utah pushed in its season opener while hitting the over last weekend. The Utes are 4-1 against the spread since 2008 when it is a favorite of 21.5-to-31 points. Under that same criteria, the Utes are 10-5 ATS since 1992. Utah has hit the over in all five games since 2008 where it is a 21.5-to-31-point favorite.
UNLV covered the spread by half a point last weekend and also hit the over. The Rebels are 3-0 ATS since 2008 as an underdog of 21.5-to-31 points but are just 4-6 ATS in road games in that stretch. The Rebels have hit the over in 7-of-10 games on the road since 2008.
Utah clearly has the talent to dominate this game and the Utes should be able to move the ball easily on the ground or in the air. UNLV will likely struggle to move the ball. We like the Utes to cover, as they have dominated this series, especially at home. Take Utah and the over this weekend.
