The nation is anticipating the Notre Dame debut of coach Brian Kelly, but what will Kelly’s Fighting Irish be able to do on the field Saturday?
Bet 2010 College Football Week 1 Prop Odds
Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have given the Irish and over/under of 33.5 points for Saturday’s contest with Purdue. Last season with Cincinnati, Kelly scored at least 34 points in eight games during the regular season. While it is a new team he is working with, he was able to post more than 34 points in seven games in his first season with the Bearcats too. Meanwhile, Purdue allowed over 34 points in five games last year and averaged 29.1 points allowed. We like the over for Kelly and the Irish on Saturday.
Another over/under point total to consider is Connecticut, which has been set at 25.5 in its game with Michigan on Saturday. The Huskies passed that mark seven times last season while Michigan allowed an average of 27.5 points per-game. The Wolverines allowed at least 26 points in eight games during 2009. Add to that the injury issues the Wolverines have, and we like the Huskies to go over the point total on Saturday.
