College Football Week 1 Injuries

Most college football teams are healthy as the 2010 College Football Season kicks off, but the defending national champions are without their top player this week.

While the injury report sheet is pretty thin, one big name does appear as Alabama’s Mark Ingram is out this week with a minor knee injury.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com, Alabama is a 37-point favorite for its home opener with San Jose State at 7PM ET. The Crimson Tide will be without Ingram, but backup running back Trent Richardson is considered to be one of the best in the country as well, so don’t look for the Tide to suffer much setback on offense.

Another game with some missing players that you won’t find on the injury report is North Carolina-LSU. The Tar Heels have 12 players and potentially another three that will miss the game due to a NCAA investigation. Nine of the 15 players are starters. The problems have caused the Tar Heels to become 8-point underdogs against the Tigers.
