Ravens Season Odds
After making their second consecutive trip to the playoffs last year, the Baltimore Ravens look to make it three in a row after retooling their offense this offseason.
The Ravens made a splash this offseason by acquiring talented receiver Anquan Boldin from the Arizona Cardinals. The move ensures that quarterback Joe Flacco now has a true No. 1 receiver at his disposal and that the Ravens’ passing game will be more explosive in 2010.
The Ravens also brought back Jared Gaither, Derrick Mason, LeRon McClain, Fabian Washington Marshal Yanada, Mark Clayton and Chris Chester, who were all part of their success in ’09. Free agents Marc Bulger (Rams) and Shayne Graham (Bengals) were brought in from other teams.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com currently list the Ravens at 12/1 to win the 2011 Super Bowl. They’re also 7/1 to win the AFC and –110 on the moneyline to win the AFC North Division this year.
With Flacco heading into his third year and the addition of Boldin, Baltimore’s offense should be even more potent than it was in 2008. Ray Rice leads an outstanding running game for the Ravens, which is aided by the stellar play of the team’s offensive line. Assuming the defense plays as well as it did in the second half last season, the Ravens shouldn’t have much trouble making a postseason run again this year. Can they go all the way? It’s certainly a possibility and at 12/1, their odds represent good value.
2011 Super Bowl Odds: Baltimore Ravens 12/1
Odds to win the AFC: Baltimore Ravens 7/1
Odds to win the AFC North: Baltimore Ravens –110
