NBA Draft Props

The 2010 NBA Draft takes place Thursday night from

New York
and there are plenty of prop odds to consider for tonight’s event.

Bet the 2010 NBA Draft

Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have released the prop odds for tonight’s draft and one wager that stands out is the draft position for DeMarcus Cousins. The over/under has been set at 4.5 and Cousins is clearly the hot topic in this draft.

With the first two picks pretty set as John Wall and Evan Turner that leaves two picks for Cousins to possibly fit in. Many mock drafts don’t see Cousins fitting in at No. 3 with
New Jersey or No. 4 with

Minnesota
, but the Kings at No. 5 is a possibility. The big issue for this bet will be trades. Cousins is a big talent but his reputation for being lazy is setting him back. If a team sees him available at three or four, they may trade up to get him. Still, we see the draft holding shape and Cousins not going earlier than No. 5.

Speaking of

Kentucky
, another over/under is set at 4.5 for Wildcats drafted in the first round. With Wall and Cousins locks to be in the Lottery, guys like Patrick Patterson and Eric Bledsoe seem locked in for the first round. That leaves center Daniel Orton as the wild card. Many mock drafts have him late in the first round while others have him in the second. With 6-foot-10, 255-pound size and just a freshman out of college, we think someone will take him in the first round and make five

Kentucky
players drafted. Orton has too much size and potential not to go in the first round.
