NBA No. 1 Pick Odds

The Washington Wizards hold the first pick in Thursday’s 2010 NBA Draft and there is little doubt as to who will be taken No. 1 overall.

Even before the NBA Draft Lottery took place, many believed that Kentucky’s John Wall would be the top pick in the draft and oddsmakers overwhelmingly believe that will be the case on Thursday.

Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have given Wall a money line of -1000 to become the No. 1 pick while

Ohio
State
’s Evan Turner comes in at +350 and the rest of the field is at +550.

Wall played one season with the Wildcats before deciding to turn pro. The point guard had a tremendous 2009-10 season for

Kentucky
as he averaged 16.6 points, 6.5 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per-game. He also added 1.8 steals and shot 46.1 percent from the field.

Washington
currently has issues at the guard spot as Gilbert Arenas has worn out his welcome after getting suspended for most of last season. The Wizards also have Shaun Livingston and Earl Boykins on the roster, but neither bring the package that wall has.

Turner played three years at Ohio State and last season the guard-forward averaged 20.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per-game, all while shooting 51.9 percent from the field.
