The Magic is the defending Eastern Conference champions and they are coming off a sweep of Charlotte in the first round of the playoffs. Orlando averaged 94.8 points per-game while giving up 85.5 points. Orlando shot 44 percent from the field. This year against Atlanta, Orlando won three out of four meetings with the Hawks. The lone loss was by two points while all of Orlandoβs wins came by 17 points or more.
The Atlanta Hawks are coming into the second round after winning a seven-game series over Milwaukee. The Hawks found themselves down 3-2 in the series, but rallied off back-to-back wins to take the series. Atlanta averaged 93.7 points per-game in the series while allowing 90 points per-game. The Hawks shot 45.1 percent as a team in the series. Atlanta was just 19-22 away from home this season, but the Hawks were tied with Orlando for the second-best record on their home floor at 34-7.
