Suns-Spurs Pick

Two playoff rivals collide in the second round of the 2010 NBA Playoffs as Phoenix faces San Antonio starting Monday night at 10:30PM ET.

Bet the 2010 NBA Playoffs
The Suns are the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference while the Spurs are the No. 6 seed.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have made Phoenix the slight favorites to win the series with a money line of -145 while the Spurs have a line of +115.

The Suns were 54-28 during the regular season and they defeated Portland 4-2 in the opening round of the playoffs. Phoenix scored at least 99 points in all four wins as they averaged 103.3 points per-game in the series while giving up just 93 points. Steve Nash had nearly 10 assists per-game while averaging 15 points per-game. Nash shot 47 percent from 3-point land in the series. Amar’e Stoudemire averaged just over 20 points per-game during the series as he shot 54.1 percent from the field.

San Antonio went 50-32 during the regular season and the Spurs are coming off a 4-2 series win over Dallas in the first round. The Spurs won all three games at home as they averaged 93.3 points per-game but allowed 93.6 points per-game to the Mavericks. Tony Parker averaged over 15 pints and five assists per-game during the series while Tim Duncan posted 18.1 points per-game while also pulling down just under 10 rebounds per-contest.

While the Spurs looked good against Dallas in the first round, Phoenix looks to have too much speed and offense for them in this series. The Spurs were out-scored in the series by Dallas, but found ways to grind games out. In this series, they will need to find more point production, and we think they will struggle to do so.
