The 2010 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs begin play on Wednesday with the defending Cup champions, the Pittsburgh Penguins taking on the Ottawa Senators.

Despite this matchup being the No. 4 seeded Penguins against the No. 5 seeded Senators, Pittsburgh is the clear favorite to advance to the second round.
Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have given Pittsburgh a betting line of -260 to win this series while Ottawa has been given a +200 line.
This will be the third time these two teams have met in the playoffs over the last four years. The Penguins come in with 101 points after winning 47 games in the season. Pittsburgh scored 257 goals on the year but allowing 237. The Penguins are the same seed they were a year ago when they won the Stanley Cup, but the Penguins come in having won just five of their last 10 games,
The Senators come in with 94 points after picking up 44 wins on the season. Ottawa has scored 225 goals on the year while giving up 238. The Senators havenβt made a long playoff run since 2007, when they won the Eastern Conference title. Ottawa comes into the playoffs having won seven of their last 10 games.
