Tre’ Newton and Vondrell McGee have led the rushing attack, but running for over 135 yards while Jordan Shipley has caught 26 passes for 314 yards. The Longhorns are leading the Big XII in points scored at 44 per-game and are also second in the conference in third-down conversions.

The Miners are 1-2 on the season with the lone win coming last week at

New Mexico
State. Donald Buckram rushed for 113 yards with two touchdowns in the win while the defense held the Aggies to 284 yards. Buckram has rushed for 252 yards on the season while quarterback Trevor Vittatoe has struggled to 602 yards on 56-of-102 passing with just one touchdown.
