NCAA football has a full load of games on Saturday and our team of writers and handicappers are handing out four picks for Week 2.

Ohio
State +7 vs. USC, 8PM ET

The Buckeyes host the Trojans a year after an embarrassing 35-3 loss to USC last season. Both teams are very different but the general perceptions of both teams have not changed, as the Trojans are getting seven points on the road in Ohio Stadium. USC is brining in a true freshman quarterback to the game, as Matt Barkley will start in the most hostile environment he has ever been on. The game is also on national television and the freshman’s nerves should be at a high.

Pittsburgh, Noon ET

Another home underdog,

Buffalo is getting 11 points against the Panthers and Dave Wannstedt has lost at least one non-conference game in each of his four seasons as coach of Pitt. Last season, it was a 27-17 loss to

Bowling Green at Heinz Field.

Buffalo is well-coached with Turner Gill leading the Bulls to a 23-17 win over UTEP last week, though they were 8-point underdogs.

South Carolina +7 at

Georgia, 7PM ET

South Carolina has had

Georgia’s number from a defensive standpoint, not allowing the Bulldogs to score more than 20 points since 2004. Last year, the Bulldogs had to scratch and claw their way to a 14-7 win, and this season, the Bulldogs have a lot of questions on offense.
Georgia amassed just 257 yards against a weak

Oklahoma
State defense. This week, the test is much greater for

Georgia on offense.

South Carolina doesn’t have a lot of offensive fire power either, but the defense will give the Gamecocks a chance to win late and cover the spread.

Ohio, 8PM ET

Miami allowed 42 points at home against
Kentucky last weekend and now travels to the blue turf to face
Boise
State, which is looking to unleash its offensive frustrations after only scoring 19 points against

Oregon. The RedHawks don’t have the talent to slow

State down, as it allowed 488 yards to the Wildcats, and won’t have any offense to keep the Broncos’ offense off the field, as it amassed just 188 yards last Saturday. This game should be covered by halftime.
