California on Saturday when the Saints face the Oakland Raiders at The Oakland Coliseum at 4PM ET on the NFL Network.

New Orleans is coming off a decisive 38-14 win over

Houston last week and in two games, the Saints have outscored their opponents 55-21. Against the Texans, the Saints racked up 420 yards with Mike Bell leading the way, rushing for 100 yards on 10 carries with one touchdown. Brees threw for 87 yards and a touchdown in limited action, while Reggie Bush was held out of the game with a calf strain.

Oakland lost 21-20 to

San Francisco last weekend, dropping it to 1-1 in the preseason. JaMarcus Russell threw for 76 yards on 7-of-11 passing, including a 24-yard touchdown pass to Louis Murphy. Jeff Garcia saw limited action, throwing for 18 yards on 3-of-6 passing with an interception. Following the game, head coach Tom Cable announced that Russell will be the Raiders’ starting quarterback heading into the regular season.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com have made the Saints 2-point road favorites over the Raiders. The over/under total for this game has been set at 41.

The Saints have the trends in their favor as they are 25-10 against the spread in road games since 1993 and are 16-5 ATS in road games when playing with six or less days rest since 1993. The Saints are also 23-10 ATS in August road games.

With this being the third preseason game, the starters on both teams will likely play the entire first half. The Saints offense has the potential to put up a lot of points in a short amount of time, but will still need to execute well against an underrated Raiders defense. Oakland on his home turf and if the Raiders can move the ball, they should find a way to cover.
