Kyle Orton is hoping to erase an embarrassing debut with the Denver Broncos when they face the Seattle Seahawks Saturday night at Qwest Field.

Denver, throwing for 89 yards on 9-of-16 passing in a 17-16 loss to

San Francisco. Orton’s teammate Chris Simms, had a better night, throwing for 142 yards and two touchdowns on 11-of-17 passing. Rookie Knowshon Moreno carried the ball three times for 18 yards while Peyton Hillis rushed for 49 yards on 10 carries.

Matt Hasselbeck saw limited action in his first game back following an injury-riddled 2008-09 season. Hasselbeck threw just five passes for 27 yards in a 20-14 win at

San Diego. Free-agent signing T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught one pass for five yards. The Seahawks found out this week that cornerstone offensive lineman, Walter Jones, may miss the entire 2009-10 season after having his second knee surgery in eight months.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Seahawks 3-point favorites in this contest. The over/under total has been set at 36.5.

Denver is 23-7 against the spread when playing on Saturdays since 1993. The Broncos are 21-8 ATS against NFC West division opponents since 1993 and are also 33-17 ATS in non-conference games since 1993.

Seattle is 8-1 ATS in all lined games over the last three years and is 0-3 ATS against

Denver.
