Jay Cutler suits up for the Chicago Bears for the first time when the Buffalo Bills host the Bears Saturday night at 7PM ET from Ralph Wilson Stadium in preseason action.

The preseason opener for the Bears will be highlighted by Cutler’s debut, as he came over to

Chicago in a trade with the Denver Broncos during the offseason. The Bears also added offensive tackle Orlando Pace to the roster to help boost an offense that struggled in past seasons. Cutler has second-year running back Matt Forte to work with and return specialist-turned-receiver Devin Hester. Defensively, the Bears should still be solid led by Brian Urlacher up the middle and Lance Briggs on the outside.

The Bills will be without key offseason acquisition Terrell Owens in the game, as he is sidelined with a toe injury.
Buffalo has already played in one preseason game, losing 21-18 to

Tennessee in the Hall of Fame Game. Trent Edwards threw just four passes for 34 yards in the opener and won’t see much more action on Saturday. Second-year running back Xavier Omon rushed for 36 yards on 11 carries in the loss as he looked to establish some playing time during the season while Marshawn Lynch seves his three-game suspension.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Bills 3-point favorites heading into Saturday’s game. The over/under total has also been set at 32.5.

Chicago is 6-8 against the spread and 3-4 against the spread on the road. The Bears are 2-3 ATS as the underdog and 1-2 ATS as a road underdog.

Buffalo is 7-9 ATS and 2-6 ATS at home. The Bills are 4-6 ATS as the favorite and 2-5 ATS as a home favorite.

Game time is set for 7PM ET from Ralph Wilson Stadium with clear skies in the forecast for kickoff. Both teams are expected to play most of their starters in the beginning, but the duration of their play is not likely to be anything past one quarter.
