Breeders' Cup Classic Updated Odds

(The Spread) – The 2011 Breeders’ Cup odds have been updated and Uncle Mo is listed as the favorite to win this weekend’s race.

As of Tuesday, Uncle Mo is listed as a 5/2 favorite to win this Saturday’s Breeders’ Cup Classic at 7:00PM ET (post time). Havre deGrace is 7/2 while So You Think is 4/1 and Flat Out is 5/1 to win. Some of the mid-range long shots include Stay Thirsty and To Honor and Serve at 10/1, respectively, and Prayer for Relief and Headache at 12/1, respectively.

Uncle Mo has had a long road back to the track. He returns to Churchill Downs after being taken out of the Kentucky Derby the night before the race due to a life-threatening liver disease. But he took some time off, rallied and now he’s back to Churchill Downs as the favorite. He’s won five of his seven races while also finishing third at the G1 Wood Memorial and second at the G1 King’s Bishop. In his most recent race, he finished first at the G2 Kelso on October 1.

Havre de Grace enters Saturday’s race after winning five of his last six outings. His most recent victories came at the G1 Woodward on September 3 and at the G1 Beldame on October 1. He also placed second at the G2 Delaware Handicap on September 16 of this year and won the G1 Apple Blossom on April 15.

So You Think won the G1 Coral Eclipse on July 2 and the G1 Irish Champion Stakes on September 3 before finishing fourth at the G1 Prix de I’Arc de Triomphe on October 2. In his most recent outing, he finished second at the Champion Stakes on October 15, which is a Grade 1 race.
