(TheSpread) – The first game in the 2013 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs has the Chicago Blackhawks taking on the Minnesota Wild. Here is a look at the odds to win this series.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Chicago is the favorite to win this best-of-seven series, as the Blackhawks have odds of -400 to beat the Wild, while Minnesota comes in with a money line of +300 to win this series. Chicago enters this series as the top seed in the Western Conference while Minnesota is the eighth seed in the West.

Chicago went 36-7-5 this season and was 18-3-3 at home and 18-4-2 on the road. Minnesota went 26-19-3 overall this season and the Wild were 14-8-2 at home and 12-11-1 on the road. These two met three times during the regular season with Chicago winning two of the three meetings. However, Minnesota has won three of its last five against Chicago and four of the last five games between these two teams was decided by one goal.
