Boys vs. Redskins Pick
NFC East rivals will battle in Week 16 when the Washington Redskins host the Dallas Cowboys at 8:20PM ET on Sunday night.
The Cowboys handed the Saints their first loss of the season, as Dallas beat New Orleans 24-17 as an 8-point underdog in Week 15. Tony Romo threw for 312 yards on 22-of-34 passing and a touchdown, while Marion Barber rushed for two touchdowns in the win.
The Giants embarrassed the Redskins on Monday night, as Washington lost 45-12 as a 3-point underdog in Week 15. Jason Campbell threw for 192 yards on 15-of-28 passing with a touchdown and two interceptions in the loss.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Cowboys 7-point favorites over the Redskins in Week 16. The over/under total for tonight’s game is 42 points.
Our free pick prediction for this game is the Redskins +7 and the over 42. Dallas is just 2-4 against the spread in its last six games and just 1-5 ATS in its last six games when playing Washington. The Cowboys are also 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games on the road.
Because of the way they handled the Saints last week and the way the Redskins were crushed on Monday night, the public will jump on the Cowboys on Sunday night. But don’t forget how bad Dallas has been in December over the past couple years under Wade Phillips.
Some teams just have other team’s numbers and the Redskins usually play the Cowboys tight. We like the home dog getting points and also think Washington will perform better offensively and the total will sail over. Remember that the Redskins had played well offensively before they laid an egg against the Giants.
Our NFL Week 16 Free Pick for this matchup is: WASHINGTON REDSKINS +7 and OVER 42.
