Broncos vs. Raiders Odds
OAKLAND, CA (The Spread) - The Thursday Night Football matchup will pair AFC West rivals against each other when the Raiders host the Broncos tonight at 8:20PM ET.
DENVER: The Broncos won their seventh straight game last Sunday with a 31-23 victory over the Buccaneers last Sunday in Denver. Peyton Manning completed 27-of-38 passes for 242 yards with three touchdowns and one interception, while Knowshon Moreno rushed 20 times for 69 yards. Demaryius Thomas also caught eight passes for 99 yards with two touchdowns, while Jacob Tamme caught nine passes for 89 yards. The win allowed the Broncos to clinch the AFC West Division crown with a 9-3 record, although they’ve now failed to cover the spread in three straight games after failing to cover last Sunday as a 9.5-point favorite over the Bucs. With the division wrapped up, Denver will now look to secure home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
OAKLAND: There are only a couple of teams in the NFL playing worse right now than the Raiders, who have now lost five straight games following their 20-17 loss to the Browns last Sunday. Carson Palmer completed 34-of-54 passes for 351 yards with two touchdowns and one interception, while Brandon Myers caught 14 passes for 130 yards and one score. Rod Streater also caught three passes for 96 yards and a touchdown, while Jeremy Stewart rushed nine times for 46 yards. The loss dropped Oakland to 3-9 overall and 3-9 against the spread. The Raiders haven’t covered the number at any point over their five-game losing streak.
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Broncos are 10.5-point favorites versus the Raiders, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 48 points. Denver enters tonight’s game with a 9-3 overall record and is 4-2 on the road, while Oakland is 3-9 overall and 2-4 at home.
TRENDS: The over is 5-1 in the last six meetings between these two teams and 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams in Oakland. The Broncos are also 4-9 against the spread in their last 13 games versus the Raiders, while the underdog is 9-4 against the spread in the last 13 meetings between these two teams. The road team is also 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings between these two teams.
