Seahawks vs. Rams Pick
NFC West rivals meet in Week 12 when the St. Louis Rams host the Seattle Seahawks at 1:00PM ET on Sunday.
In Week 11, the Vikings crushed the Seahawks, 35-9. Seattle failed to cover as an 11-point underdog and the combined score fell under the posted total of 47 points. Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck threw for 231 yards with an interception for Seattle, while Justin Forsett was held to just nine rushing yards and a touchdown on nine carries.
The Rams also lost in Week 11, as they were defeated 21-13 by the Cardinals as a 9-point underdog. The combined score fell under the posted total of 46.5 points, while Marc Bulger threw for 215 yards with an interception for St. Louis. Steven Jackson did rush for 116 yards and a touchdown in the loss.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Rams 3.5-point underdogs at home against the Seahawks in Week 12. The over/under total for Sunday’s game has been set at 42.5 points.
The Seahawks are 5-0 against he spread in their last five games when playing St. Louis, but it’s the Rams who are playing better football at the moment. St. Louis is 4-1 against the number in their last five games and we think its time that Seattle’s run against the Rams ends.
Bulger won’t play after suffering an injury last week, which means Kyle Boller will start in his place. Boller hasn’t been great this season, but he has shown that he can move the offense and get them in scoring position.
As long as Boller doesn’t turn the ball over, St. Louis can lean on Jackson to win this game outright. Seattle also doesn’t have the running game to take advantage of a weak St. Louis run defense and we think the Rams will win this game outright.
Our NFL Week 12 Free Pick for this matchup is: ST. LOUIS RAMS +3.5 and UNDER 42.5.
