DENVER, CO (The Spread) – In what could be a shootout, the Broncos will host the Saints on Sunday Night Football tonight at 8:20PM ET.
NEW ORLEANS: The Saints held on to a 35-28 victory versus the Buccaneers in Week 7. Drew Brees threw for 377 yards with four touchdowns and one interception on 27-of-37 passing, while Lance Moore caught nine passes for 121 yards with no touchdowns. Since starting the season 0-4, the Saints are now 2-0 in their last two games and have covered the spread in their last three contests. They’re 2-4 overall and 3-3 against the number, while the over is 5-1 in New Orleans’ first six games this year, including in the Saints’ last three games.
DENVER: The Broncos erased a 24-0 halftime deficit two weeks ago in San Diego to beat the Chargers 35-24 on Monday Night Football. Peyton Manning threw for 309 yards and three touchdowns with one interception on 24-of-30 passing. Eric Decker led the team in reception with six catches for 98 yards and one touchdown, while Joel Dreessen caught six passes for 57 yards. The Broncos are now 3-3 overall and 3-3 against the spread. They’re currently tied with the Chargers atop the AFC West, although the Broncos hold the tiebreaker after beating San Diego in Week 6. ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Broncos are 6-point favorites over the Saints, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 54.5 points. The Saints enter this game with a straight up record of 2-4 and are 3-3 against the spread, while the Broncos are 3-3 straight up and 3-3 ATS. TRENDS: The Saints are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games following a bye week, while the Broncos are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games following a bye.
