Updated Super Bowl Odds: Week 5

(The Spread) – As we do every Tuesday, it’s time to update the odds for the 2013 Super Bowl as we head into Week 5 of the NFL season.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the 4-0 Houston Texans remain favored to win the 2013 Super Bowl at 9/2, while the San Francisco 49ers have the next best odds at 11/2. The 4-0 Atlanta Falcons have the third-best odds at 7/1, and 2-2 New England Patriots are also listed at 7/1, respectively. Rounding out the top 5 this week is the Baltimore Ravens, who are 17/2 to win this season’s NFL title.

The top 5 from a week ago were as follows: Texans at 5/2, 49ers at 6/1, Falcons at 8/1, Packers at 17/2 and Patriots at 17/2. The Ravens were right outside the top 5 at 9/1, but this week they’ve swapped places with the 2011 Super Bowl champion Packers, who are now 9/1 to win this year’s title.

Continuing with the odds, the Chicago Bears are 15/1 to win the Super Bowl following their impressive win over the Dallas Cowboys (35/1) on Monday Night Football. The Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles and San Diego Chargers are all 20/1 to win the Super Bowl, respectively. All three teams are coming off victories over division rivals in Week 4.

Some of the more intriguing teams are the 4-0 Arizona Cardinals at 25/1, the defending 2012 Super Bowl champion New York Giants at 22/1, the Pittsburgh Steelers at 25/1 and the Cincinnati Bengals and Minneosta Vikings, who are both 50/1, respectively.
