Randy Moss 2012 NFL Prop Odds

2012 nfl prop odds randy moss comeback player of the year

(The Spread) – Oddsmakers have released prop odds involving which team will sign Randy Moss this offseason after the 35-year-old receiver stated his intentions to comeback in 2012.

One of Moss’ former teams, the New England Patriots, are 5/2 favorites to sign the once dynamic receiver this offseason. Moss played three seasons with the Patriots before getting himself shipped out of New England in 2010 after complaining about his contract status. From 2007 to 2009 he posted three straight seasons of over 1,000 yards receiver and finished with 23 touchdowns in ’07.

The team with the next best odds to land Moss this offseason is the Chicago Bears, who are 7/2. The Bears desperately need a vertical threat to go along with Jay Cutler’s strong arm and now that they have a new general manager in Phil Emery, maybe Chicago will land that No. 1 wideout. That said, the free agent pool for receivers is deep this year and the Bears have money to spend, so maybe they have eyes for Kansas City’s Dwayne Bowe or San Diego’s Vincent Jackson.

The Washington Redskins and San Francisco 49ers are both 5/1 to sign Moss, respectively.  The New York Jets are 11/2, the St. Louis Rams are 7/1 and the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles are both 10/1, respectively.

The Jets, Cowboys and Eagles are seemingly set at receiver but the Redskins, Niners and Rams could all use a boost in the wideout department. Whether or not a team signs Moss this offseason will be dependent on how he performs in private workouts. Not too long ago he was one of the top receivers in the game but at 35 he has something to prove after his disastrous 2010 campaign. He also sat out all of 2011 so he’ll have to show teams he’s still in good shape.
