SAN FRANCISCO: The 49ers needed a 27-13 win over the Cardinals in Week 17 of the regular season, and a Green Bay loss in order to earn a first-round bye. That's exactly what happened, as the Niners beat the Cardinals 27-13 and the Vikings upset the Pack, 37-34. In that win over Arizona, Colin Kaepernick completed 16-of-28 passes for 276 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions, and he also rushed three times for just five yards. Frank Gore added 68 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries, while Michael Crabtree went off for eight catches for 172 yards and two touchdowns. The Niners finished the regular season with an 11-4-1 overall record and went 9-7 against the spread, failing to cover in their final two games.

ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the 49ers are 2.5-point favorites versus the 49ers while the over/under total is currently sitting at 44.5 points. Green Bay enters the game with a 12-5 overall record and was 4-4 on the road this year, while San Francisco went 11-4 overall and 6-1 at home.

TRENDS: The over is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams, while the Packers are 5-0-1 against the spread in their last six trips to San Francisco and 5-1-1 in their last seven games overall versus the 49ers.
