NBA Season Win Totals
The 2009-2010 NBA season is quickly approaching. Oddsmakers have released season win totals for all 30 NBA teams. The defending NBA Finals Champion Los Angeles Lakers have been given a season win over/under total of 62.5 according to oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.com. The Lakers lost Trevor Ariza in the offseason, but signed Ron Artest to help fill the void. The San Antonio Spurs also made a significant offseason move in hopes of challenging for a Finals appearance this season, as they acquired Richard Jefferson in a trade with the Milwaukee Bucks. Oddsmakers feel as though the Spurs are set up for a solid season and have given them an over/under win total of 54.5. Having Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili healthy again will help as well. The 2007 NBA Finals champion Boston Celtics have been given an over/under season win total of 57.5, as oddsmakers assume a healthy Kevin Garnett will be the difference in the team getting back to a title game. The Cleveland Cavaliers are expected to once again challenge for a title appearance after acquiring Shaquille O’Neal in the offseason. The Cavs hope O’Neal can serve as the missing piece to getting LeBron James another shot at a NBA title, as oddsmakers have set Cleveland’s season win total at 61.5.
