Yankees vs. Red Sox Friday Prediction
After taking two of three versus the Twins in Minnesota earlier this week, the Yankees couldn’t carry that momentum into last night at Fenway Park. Even after getting smoked 19-3, are the Bronx Bombers a good bet to rebound?

New York Yankees Fantasy Spin
Luke Voit went 3-for-4 and scored a run in a lopsided loss to the Red Sox on Thursday. He was the only Yankee to snare more than one hit in the ballgame. One of his knocks was a double. He is rocking a .280/.391/.500 slash line with 19 home runs and 53 RBI in 90 games played.
Boston Red Sox Fantasy Spin
Xander Bogaerts went 4-for-6 with two dingers, four RBI and four runs scored as the Red Sox demolished the Yankees 19-3 on Thursday. He got the barn-burner started early by cranking a three-run bomb off Masahiro Tanaka in the first inning. He added a solo blast off catcher Austin Romine in the eighth. Bogaerts had a breakout season last year and has taken his game to an even higher level this year. His two homers today allowed him to tie his career high with 23 bombs and he still has 58 games left to play. He has a .315 batting average with 80 RBI and 83 runs scored. If he keeps this up he could be worth a first-round pick in fantasy drafts next spring
MLB Betting Trends
New York
The Yankees are still 52-21 in their last 73 games against American League East rivals despite losing last night to the Red Sox.
Boston
The Red Sox are now 4-1 in their last five home games and have won four of their last five games played on Friday as well.
Prediction:
I like the Yankees to rebound tonight. First and foremost, they are 80-35 in their last 115 games coming off a loss. That’s impressive. They’re also 9-1 in their last 10 games when playing the second game of a series and are 44-15 in their last 59 games versus a right-handed starter. Despite losing last night, they’re 6-2 in their last eight games versus the Red Sox, who are just 1-5 in their last six home games when facing a lefty. Boston is also 2-5 in its last seven games following a win and just 6-13 in its last 19 games when playing Game 2 of a series.
The Pick: New York Yankees -1.5 (+120)
