Chicago White Sox Fantasy Spin
Tim Anderson has been diagnosed with a sprained right ankle and will be re-evaluated on Wednesday. Anderson fell to the ground after making a running throw against the Red Sox on Tuesday. He had to be carried off the field by trainers. The good news is X-rays came back negative for a potential fracture, the bad news is that Anderson might still be headed to the injured list with a bad sprain. The shortstop has a .313 batting average with 11 home runs, 37 RBI and 15 stolen bases.
Boston Red Sox Fantasy Spin
Rafael Devers went a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, an RBI and two runs scored as the Red Sox doubled up the White Sox 6-3 on Tuesday. The 22-year-old third baseman could not be contained in this one, tormenting White Sox pitching from the outset. His double in the first inning plated Mookie Betts to give the Red Sox an early lead, he singled and scored in the third inning and he came around on a Xander Bogaerts home run in the fifth inning after his second double of the contest. The productive night raised Devers’ line to .317/.369/.520 with 12 homers, 49 RBI, 57 runs scored and a surprising eight steals overall this year. It’s shaping up to be his best one yet.
MLB Betting Trends
Chicago
The White Sox are 0-4 in their last four games overall.
Boston
The Red Sox are 5-2 in their last seven home games.
Prediction:
The Red Sox will send Chris Sale to the mound today but they’re just 2-5 in their ace’s last seven home starts. He avoided a decision versus the Blue Jays last Friday despite giving up four runs (three earned) on seven hits over five innings. He did blank the White Sox on three hits over six innings with 10 strikeouts to earn his first victory of the season on May 3 but if we’re search in value with the odds, the value today is with the White Sox. Chicago is still catching +155 odds on the runline. I’m not passing that up considering the White Sox don’t even have to win today to get those odds.
Wednesday MLB Prediction: Chicago White Sox +1.5 (+155)
