Royals vs. Giants Prediction
Will the Royals and Giants struggle to score runs in the series finale at AT&T Park at 3:45PM ET today?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Giants are -180 money line favorites versus the Royals, who have odds of +157 to pull off the upset in San Francisco. With Jason Hammel set to face Johnny Cueto in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 7.5 runs.

Via Rotoworld: Hammel allowed one run on four hits over seven innings while taking a no-decision in Thursday’s loss to the Astros. Hammel was locked in a scoreless tie with Lance McCullers up until the sixth inning when he surrendered the first run of the game on a balk, of all things. He struck out four without walking a batter over his seven strong innings. Up next on the docket, a road start against the Giants. He will bring a still rough 5.43 ERA and 1.48 WHIP into that one.
Cueto gave up three runs in six-plus innings and took a loss to the Phillies despite turning in a quality start on Saturday. He fanned nine batters and did not issue a walk, but he gave up eight base hits, including a solo homer by Tommy Joseph. He held his opponent scoreless through five innings before allowing one in the sixth. He allowed singles to the first two batters in the seventh before being relieved by Hunter Strickland, who promptly allowed both of Cueto’s runners to score. He falls to 5-5 with a 4.38 ERA in 12 starts on the season. He has a very nice 77/18 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 76 innings of work.
Bet Today’s Royals vs. Giants Game
OUR PREDICTION: If you want to lay the -180 on the Giants in a pitching matchup that favors San Francisco, go for it. The Giants have their ace on the mound and should win, but this is a team that is 26-40 overall and 14-17 at home, so I’m going to look at the total to find more value. Cueto holds both left and right-handed hitters in check, while Hammel gets to face a punchless Giants offense in a pitcher’s park. While the Royals have hit better of late, I have faith in Cueto to limit Kansas City’s damage.
WEDNESDAY MLB PREDICTION: ROYALS/GIANTS UNDER 7.5
