Blach pitched well in Tuesday’s win over the Dodgers, allowing one run on five hits over seven innings. Blach coughed up a solo home run to Chris Taylor in the sixth inning, but he otherwise kept the scoreboard clean. He struck out four and walked two on the evening. Through 11 appearances (seven relief outings, four starts), Blach holds a 4.15 ERA and 1.18 WHIP. (Rotoworld)
Lackey allowed just four hits and two walks with 10 strikeouts over seven scoreless innings in Tuesday’s win in Game 2 against the Rockies. Lackey threw 76 of his 105 pitches for strikes to even up his record at 3-3. It was easily his best effort of the season, as he had allowed three or more earned runs in five of his previous six outings. It’s hard to believe his most efficient effort came in homer-happy Coors Field.
