Cincinnati Reds DFS SPIN
Jeff Hoffman was unable to make it out of the third inning Tuesday versus the White Sox, allowing four runs over 2 1/3 frames. Hoffman was giving up loud contact all night, with the White Sox averaging a whopping 99.3 mph exit velocity. He struck out the next two batters after allowing a leadoff homer to Jose Abreu in the second but then proceeded to permit four straight runners to reach base, and by that point it was clear Hoffman wasn’t long for this one. It’s two straight subpar efforts for Hoffman, who will face the Pirates on the road early next week.
Pittsburgh Pirates DFS SPIN
Wilmer Difo went 3-for-5 with a triple, two runs scored, and three RBI against the Cubs on Sunday. Difo had a big day at the plate in just his seventh start for the Pirates this season. He drove in two runs in the first inning with a two-run single off of Kyle Hendricks. Difo would come in to score on a throwing error later in the inning. The 29-year-old utility man hit a triple off Hendricks to score another run in the third. Difo is getting some playing time with Ke’Bryan Hayes on the injured list, but isn’t getting enough at-bats to be mixed-league relevant for fantasy managers.
Reds vs. Pirates Betting Prediction
The Reds are 7-0 in their last seven meetings with the Pirates but are just 7-20 in their last 27 games at PNC Park. The Reds are also 2-6 in their last eight games as a road favorite, are 2-8 in their last 10 games versus a team with a losing record and are 3-7 in their last 10 road games.
