Cardinals vs. Yankees Prediction
Following a win in D.C. and a day off, will the Cardinals upset the Yankees tonight at 7:05PM ET in the Bronx?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Yankees are -143 money line favorites versus the Cardinals, who have odds of +129 to pull off the upset tonight in the Bronx. With Michael Wacha set to face Masahiro Tanaka in the pitching matchup, the over/under currently sits at 8 runs.

Following a strong spring training performance, Wacha was excellent in his first start of the season. He allowed just one earned run on three hits with a walk across six innings last Saturday in a 10-4 win over the Reds. He struck out six and looked healthy, which is the key with Wacha, who has dealt with a scapula injury the past three seasons.
Tanaka has not pitched well in his two outings this season. Over 7 2/3 innings of work, his ERA currently sits at 11.74 and his WHIP is 3.18. He went just five innings in his last outing, striking out five while allowing three runs in a no-decision on Saturday versus the Orioles.
Bet Tonight’s Cardinals vs. Yankees Game
OUR PICK: I love the Cardinals here, provided they play defense like they did on Wednesday and not like they did in their first eight games of the year. Wacha might break down at some point but right now he’s healthy and confident. Tanaka, meanwhile, needed 92 pitches just to get through five innings in his last start and was a disaster on Opening Day. The Yankees are favored, but the Cardinals are the better play tonight.
