Braves vs. Phillies Sunday Prediction
The Phillies will go for a series sweep of their NL East rivals on Sunday when they host the Braves at 7:05 p.m. ET for ESPN Sunday Night Baseball. With Jake Arrieta on the hill for Philly, is the host a good bet to finish Atlanta off this evening?

Atlanta Braves Fantasy Spin
Freddie Freeman went 4-for-5 with a pair of RBI and two doubles in a loss to the Phillies on Saturday. Freeman was excellent in this one, and took advantage of Philadelphia playing a perhaps too aggressive shift in this one. With the four hits, Freeman has his average to .625 to begin the season. That’s obviously not sustainable, but this will almost assuredly not be his last four-hit effort of the season.
Philadelphia Phillies Fantasy Spin
Bryce Harper went 1-for-3 with a homer and a walk in an 8-6 victory over the Braves on Saturday. Harper absolutely obliterated a Jesse Biddle offering in the seventh inning into the right-field bleachers to extend the Phillies’ lead to 8-6. He’s still pretty strong. It’s nice to see the 26-year-old get off to a nice start, even with a less-than-ideal way to go through spring training. Consistency has been an issue with Harper, but the talent has never been questioned. He could — and should — have a huge 2019 season.
MLB Betting Trends
Atlanta
After blowing several leads on Saturday, the Braves are now winless in their last four games versus the Phillies.
Philadelphia
Following their rally yesterday, the Phillies are now a perfect 4-0 in their last four games versus the Braves at Citizens Bank Park.
Prediction:
The Phillies put together a new lineup over the offseason and they seem to be feeding off the energy that the front office created in this first home series. The Braves blew multiple leads on Saturday, including an early 3-0 start. With Arrieta on the hill and a nationally televised home game as the backdrop, I’m not fading the Phils tonight.
The Pick: Philadelphia Phillies -147
