Mariners’ 2015 MLB Season Odds
SEATTLE, WA (The Spread) – After winning 87 games last season oddsmakers have set the Mariners’ over/under for victories in 2015 at 86.5.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Mariners are 12/1 to win the 2015 World Series and 11/2 to win the Al pennant this season. They’re also favored to win the AL West Division with 3/2 odds.
The Mariners made several moves this past offseason, none bigger than signing outfielder Nelson Cruz to a four-year contract. They also added infielder Rickie Weeks on a one-year deal and acquired Seth Smith from the Padres in exchange for Brandon Maurer.
Cruz will be a welcome addition to a lineup that already features second baseman Robinson Cano and third baseman Kyle Seager, who led the team in home runs (25) and RBI (96) last season. The pitching staff will once again be led by ace Felix Hernandez and if this club stays relatively healthy, there’s no reason to think Seattle can’t win 90-plus games in 2015.
