(The Spread) – The point spreads in the NFL Conference Championship games are staying steady. Will the lines move as we get closer to kickoff?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, the Packers opened as 3-point favorites over the Bears in the NFC Conference Championship. The over/under total opened at 43.5 points.
The line stayed at โ3 for a day or so, but then oddsmakers raised the point spread to Packers โ3.5. The line did dip back down to โ3 at midweek, but the spread is back up to 3.5 right now.
Presumably, the line dipped because sharp bettors took advantage of the hook but public bettors pushed the spread back up. According to current NFL public betting information, 66% of the 37,000-plus wagers have been placed on the Packers โ3.5. Everyone outside of the city of Chicago has fallen in love with Aaron Rodgers after he ripped apart the Falcons.
In the AFC Championship Game, the Steelers opened as 3-point favorites over the Jets and in similar fashion, the line moved to 3.5 within a day. It also got as high as โ4 at midweek, but the line is back down to 3.5. The total has stayed consistent at 38 and 38.5 all week.
Of the 38,000-plus wagers, 56% of the wagers have been placed on the Steelers โ3.5. If the public continues to back Pittsburgh, thereโs no doubt that itโll go back up to the Steelers โ4 before kickoff.
