After their 103-97 victory over the Nuggets in Denver on Friday night, the Los Angeles Lakers look to take a commanding lead in the Western Conference Finals with a win on Memorial Day.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SPORTSBETTING.COM have made the Nuggets 4.5-point favorites despite being down 2-1 to the Lakers in their best of seven series. The over/under total for this game has been set at 208.5.
Before their loss on Friday night, the Nuggets had covered 12 straight games. But after being 3.5-point favorites entering their game with the Lakers, Denver was soundly beat 103-97 on their home floor.
The Lakers are 5-3 against the spread versus Denver over the last three seasons and 14-13 against the number vs. the Nuggets since 1996. Also, 7 of 8 games in this series have gone under the total over the last three seasons.
We expect the Nuggets to bounce back on their home floor tonight, but we’re not crazy about giving up 4.5 points. That said, we’ll go with the trends in this series and suggest taking the UNDER 208.5 in Game 4 and stay away from the spread.
Our free pick for this Game 4 playoff game is the UNDER 208.5.
