(The Spread) – The CFL heads into Week 9 of its season this week with a pair of intriguing matchups.
On Friday, the 6-1 Winnipeg Blue Bombers will host the 4-3 Hamilton Tiger-Cats at 8:00PM ET. Oddsmakers have installed Winnipeg as a 3.5-point home favorite, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 49 points.
The Tiger-Cats come into this game 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 Friday games and 13-6 ATS in their last 19 games following an ATS loss. The Blue Bombers, meanwhile, are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five Friday games and 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 games following an ATS win. They’re also 5-1 ATS in their last six contests versus the East.

The only other CFL matchup this week pits the Montreal Alouettes against the Calgary Stampeders at 4:00PM ET on Saturday. Oddsmkaers have made Calgary a 1-point favorite over Montreal, with the over/under total currently sitting at 55 points.
The over is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams in Calgary, while the Alouettes are 8-2 against the number in their last 10 Saturday games. That said, they’re 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games following a straight up win and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following an ATS win. The Stampeders, meanwhile, are 5-0 against the number in their last five games in August and 4-1 ATS in their last five games in Week 9.
