76ers Season Odds
Will the new additions lift the Philadelphia 76ers to the Finals this year? Oddsmakers established the 76ers’ odds to win the 2009 NBA Finals at 25/1.
Philadelphia hauled in the biggest fish of the NBA offseason when they were able to ink Elton Brand to a long-term contract. The Sixers now have now added a quality All-Star to the roster to help them contend with Boston and Detroit in the East.
2008-2009 Season Outlook:
Optimism is running high in Philadelphia these days. Not only did the Phillies recently win the World Series, but the Eagles also look good and there’s a lot to love about the 76ers, which boasts some good young talent.
Thaddeus Young enters year two of his career and teamed with Brand, the Sizers have a lot going for them this season. They’re legitimate contenders now and if Andre Miller, Samuel Dalembert and Andre Iguodala step up their game, Philly is going to give Boston and Detroit a run this season. Consider the Sixers a solid value bet at 25/1
