UFC 103 Undercard
The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to pay-per-view this Saturday, Sept. 19 with UFC 103: Belfort vs. Franklin, from the
While the pay-per-view event will feature five fights, the undercard has eight fights that will take place prior to the start of the PPV. Here are some bets to consider for the undercard.
Cole Miller +135 over Efrain Escudero
Miller and Escudero are both Ultimate Fighter alumni, with Escudero winning season eight. Escudero is coming off a lengthy injury while Miller is in the middle of a winning streak with submission victories over Jorge Gurgel and Junie Browning. A win for Miller could propel him into feature-bout status, while Escudero is just beginning his UFC career. I think Miller has the experience and all around skills to pull off the minor upset.
Drew McFedries -120 over Tomasz Drwal
This middleweight fight is basically a pick-em and I expect McFedries to come out on top due to his explosive power. His most recent fight was a quick knockout of Xavier Foupa-Pokam. McFedries has been a streaky fighter as he has either won quickly or lost by submission after gassing. McFedries may need a win to keep his UFC career alive and I think the octagon veteran will come out with sharp striking and get the best of Drwal.
Rob Emerson -120 over Rafael Dos Anjos
Emerson is coming off a submission loss to Kurt Pellegrino, but had won his last two bouts prior. Emerson can strike and has a respectable ground game to keep himself in any fight he is in. Dos Anjos suffered a devastating knockout loss to Jeremy Stephens in his last UFC bout and I expect him to look better in this fight. Ultimately these two seem very evenly matched, but I think Emerson will out-point Dos Anjos for a decision victory.
