Belgium vs. Brazil Prediction
Belgium overcame a two-goal deficit in the second half last match to advance in the World Cup, while Brazil recorded another 2-0 victory. Which side will get the upper hand today in what should be a very entertaining quarterfinals match?

Belgium rallies in thriller over Japan
Despite dominating much of the action, Belgium fell into a 2-0 hole in its round of 16 matchup against Japan. In desperate need of some magic, Belgium found just that as it scored three goals in 25 minutes to end the contest and notch the win. Following a scoreless first half, Japan took a 2-0 lead with goals in the 48th and 52nd minutes. Jan Vertonghen put Belgium on the board with a score in the 69th minute, while Marouane Fellaini tied it up in the 74th minute. Nacer Chadli brought it home at 90+4 to send Belgium on. Belgium had 56 percent of the possession, recording 24 shots (eight on goal). Belgium was called for 13 fouls, but none were yellow cards.
Brazil wins third straight 2-0 match
An impressive 2-0 victory over Mexico sent Brazil on to the quarterfinals, its third straight victory by a 2-0 score. Neymar put Brazil ahead 1-0 in the 51st minute, while Roberto Firmino added an insurance tally in the 88th minute. Brazil only had 46 percent of the possession, yet still managed 21 shots (10 on goal). Additionally, Brazil was only called for six fouls with none being yellow cards.
Prediction:
Brazil might be the best team left in the World Cup field. While it has occasionally struggled to piece together offense, it has still managed two goals in each of the last three games and its defense is superb. Belgium turned it on late to get past Japan, but that won’t cut it against Brazil. This is a make-or-break World Cup for both sides and I have to say Brazil should have what it takes to move on in the tournament.
