Japan vs. Poland Prediction
Japan is in position to move on to the knockout stage with a win or a draw today against Poland, while it would need some help with a loss. Will Japan take care of business on its own today with a win?

Public Betting Information
According to oddsmakers, Japan is a +160 favorite to win on the moneyline. Poland is a +185 underdog, while a draw bet is set at +215. The total is listed at 2.5 goals.
Japan secures draw against Senegal
Despite a pair of one-goal deficits in its match last week, Japan managed to secure a 2-2 draw versus Senegal. After a goal in the 11th minute put Japan down 1-0, it tied the score in the 34th minute via a Takashi Inui goal. Senegal went ahead again in the 71st minute, but Japan evened the score again at 2-2 on a goal from Keisuke Honda in the 78th minute. Japan held 53 percent of the possession, but was outshot by the opposition 13-7 only three shots on goal. Senegal put seven shots on goal. Japan only committed eight fouls, but was handed a pair of yellow cards.
Poland playing out string
With a pair of losses, Poland has no chance of advancing to the round of 16 but can play a spoiler against Japan. Poland is coming off a 3-0 loss to Columbia in which it fell behind 1-0 in the 40th minute, while insurance tallies were added in the 70th and 75th minutes. Poland had 45 percent of the possession and fired nine shots (two on goal). Additionally, Poland was whistled for 15 fouls with two being yellow cards.
Prediction:
Poland was a disaster in its last game, but is more talented than it showed. Japan still isn’t a soccer nation and although there is some talent on the side, it has been lucky numerous times in the first two matches. I’m going to say Poland rises to the occasion as a slight underdog and gets the win in this spot to leave the tournament with some good vibes.
