Public Betting Information

According to oddsmakers, Egypt is a -130 favorite to win on the moneyline. Saudi Arabia is a +370 underdog, while a bet on a draw is +255. The over-under is set at 2.5 goals.

Egypt unable to hang with Russia

It was a 3-0 game in Russia's favor last Tuesday before Egypt finally scored, which came on a Mohamed Salah penalty kick in the 73rd minute. Egypt held 54 percent of the possession and registered 13 shots, but only put one of them on goal. Egypt was only handed 10 fouls, one being a yellow card. Egypt manufactured four corner kicks, while conceding seven corners.

Saudia Arabia held scoreless again

Through two games, Saudi Arabia has yet to score a goal as it lost 1-0 last Wednesday against Uruguay to go with its 5-0 defeat against host country Russia to open the World Cup. Saudi Arabia allowed the lone goal in the 23rd minute to Luis Suarez. Saudia Arabia had 53 percent of the possession, but only turned it into eight shots (three on goal) while allowing 13 shots (four on goal). Saudi Arabia committed 13 fouls and was not delivered a yellow card.

Saudi Arabia looked better in its last match, but still is arguably the weakest squad in this World Cup or at least one of the bottom few. But with Egypt having nothing to play for either except pride, I think both squads go through the motions here and we don't see a lot of offense. Go with the under in this spot.
