LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) - Will Johnny Depp serve jail time in Australia for illegally bringing his dogs into the country?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the odds that Depp will serve jail time are currently 15/2. Those might not seem like long odds until you realize Bovada is also offering odds of 1/15 that Depp won't serve jail time for illegally bringing his dogs into the country.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Depp could face up to a decade in prison or a maximum $340,000 fine for illegally bringing his two dogs into Australia earlier this month. The movie star apparently smuggled his two Yorkshire terriers to Australia in April when he was filming the latest Pirates of the Caribbean. The two dogs were later flown back to the United States.

Bringing pets into Australia usually involves applying for a permit and "a quarantine on arrival of at least 10 days" according to the Associated Press.
