Monaco Grand Prix Predictions
The Formula 1 Series continues its 2018 season on Sunday morning with the running of the Monaco Grand Prix. Which drivers will be the top contenders to win this race?
The Monaco Grand Prix takes place Sunday at 9AM ET from Monaco. The race is a 161-mile contest that will run 78 laps around the track. According to oddsmakers, Daniel Ricciardo is the current favorite as the pole-sitter with -250 odds. Other short odds to win are Sebastian Vettel (+275) and Lewis Hamilton (+700).
41001 Sebastian Vettel +275
Vettel is a two-time winner of this race and the defending champion. He has finished in the top 5 of this race the last three years. This season, Vettel won the first two races, but has been outside the top 3 in the last three. Vettel needs to start getting wins again if he hopes to chase down Lewis Hamilton in the points race.
41002 Lewis Hamilton +700
Hamilton is also a two-time winner of this race, last claiming the victory in 2016. Hamilton has won the last two races in the F1 series to grab the points lead. He has not finished worse than fourth in any of the five races in 2018. Hamilton may be working from behind a few cars on Sunday, but he’s certainly no stranger to navigating his way to first.
41006 Kimi Raikkonen +2000
While Ricciardo has the pole and is now favored, I don’t like any driver not named Vettel or Hamilton favored that highly in an F1 race. Raikkonen has pretty long odds today, but I think he could steal the win from the top drivers. Monaco hasn’t been a bad track for him over the years, as he finished second last year. This year, he has been hit-and-miss. He has finished third or second in three races and not finished in the other two. If he stays out of trouble, Raikkonen could find a way to win and earn you a big payout.
