Carlos Munoz Indy 500 Odds
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (TheSpread) – Many may not be paying attention to Carlos Munoz for this year’s Indianapolis 500, but could he be the dark horse in the field?
According to the latest oddsmakers, Munoz is listed at 22/1 to win Sunday’s Indy 500. Scott Dixon is the favorite with 9/2 odd while Simon Pagenaud and Will Power each have 11/2 odds. This race will take place on Sunday at Noon ET from Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Munoz is competing in the Indy 500 for the third time in his career this Sunday. He has had two strong showings previously, finishing second in his 2013 debut and then placing fourth in 2014. Munoz qualified 11th for this race, which is his worst starting position thus far. He start second in 2013 and seventh in 2014.
This season, Munoz hasn’t gotten off to a great start in the IndyCar standings. He currently sits 11th in the standings with 101 points, but he has yet to crack the top 5 in any of the five races and has finished outside the top 10 three times. Munoz is still seeking his first-ever IndyCar victory of his career.
