Bahrain Grand Prix Picks
The Formula 1 Series kicks off an action-packed Sunday of sports with the Bahrain Grand Prix this morning. Here’s the drivers we like to contend for the win.
The Bahrain Grand Prix takes place Sunday at 11AM ET from Bahrain International Circuit. The race is a 191-mile contest that will run 57 laps around the track. According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Lewis Hamilton is the favorite to win this race, as he has +150 odds. Other short odds to win are Sebastian Vettel (+250) and Max Verstappen (+500).
58051 Lewis Hamilton +150
Lewis Hamilton is a two-time winner of this race, last claiming the victory in 2015. The three-time series champion opened the 2018 campaign with a runner-up finish in the Australian GP two weeks ago. He is always the man to beat, as he had nine victories in 2017 and is likely to be among the top 3 on Sunday as well.
58052 Sebastian Vettel +250
Sebastian Vettel is a three-time winner of this race and the defending champion. He finished second in the series last year, giving Hamilton the most challenge with four wins. He started the 2018 season like he started 2017, finishing with the win at Australia. If anyone is going to top Hamilton on Sunday, it’s likely to be Vettel.
58053 Valtteri Bottas +700
Valtteri Bottas has a little longer odds today, but he has the potential for the upset. He was third in the series last year, winning a total of three races. He also had six runner-up finishes and four third-place finishes. He consistently finds himself near the front of the pack and was third in this race a year ago. Should Hamilton and Vettel have any slip-ups, or manage to wreck each other, then I think Bottas is the man to steal the victory.
