Best Supporting Actress Odds
HOLLYWOOD, CA (TheSpread) – The field is impressive and competitive for Best Supporting Actress at the 2011 Oscars. Here are the odds for this award.
Melissa Leo, from the movie The Fighters is the favorite to win according to oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com as she has odds of -250 to win. Other nominees are Hailee Steinfeld (+175), Helena Bonham Carter (+400), Amy Adams (+800), and Jacki Weaver (+1000).
Leo played Alice Ward in The Fighter. She was the mother of boxer Mickey Ward. Leo has already won the SAG Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Steinfeld was the focal point in True Grit. She played Mattie Ross, a 14-year-old that is looking to avenge the murder of her father.
Carter played Queen Elizabeth in The King’s Speech, the movie that is favored to win the Oscar for Best Picture. She was nominated for the SAG and Golden Globe under the same category this year.
