Carson Wentz is set to return to action in a soggy Philadelphia when the Eagles host the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
Wentz will play for the first time since he tore his ACL and LCL in Week 14 diving into the end zone on a scramble. He wore a brace on his left knee as he warmed up.
He also wore a glove on his left hand on a rainy day in Philadelphia.
Nick Foles, the Super Bowl MVP in Philadelphia’s 41-33 win over New England, returns to the sideline to make way for Wentz, who finished third in NFL MVP voting after setting a single-season franchise record with 33 touchdown passes and helping the Eagles go from 7-9 to 13-3.
Wentz and Foles caught up before the game with Colts coach Frank Reich, who was Philadelphia’s offensive coordinator the previous two seasons.
Aaron Rodgers is active for the Green Bay Packers when they visit Washington.
Rodgers is continuing to play with an injured left knee that had him listed as questionable the past two weeks after he hurt it in the season opener.
The Redskins are going to have two faces in new places on the offensive line, because starting left guard Shawn Lauvao is out with a calf injury. Center Chase Roullier shifts over to that guard spot, with backup Tony Bergstrom moving into the lineup at center.
LeSean McCoy is inactive with a rib injury for the Buffalo Bills game against the Minnesota Vikings.
McCoy’s absence is his first in 28 games. He last sat out on Oct. 30, 2016, when he was out with a hamstring injury.
Latavius Murray takes the lead in the Vikings backfield for Dalvin Cook (hamstring).
The Chiefs remain without star safety Eric Berry, who has not practiced since early in training camp with a heel injury. Berry missed most of last season after tearing his Achilles’ tendon, though he did return for summer workouts and the start of camp.
Titans quarterback Blaine Gabbert is making his second straight start, his first in Jacksonville since the Jaguars traded him to San Francisco in March 2014. Gabbert beat the Jaguars last season as Arizona’s starter. Titans starter Marcus Mariota (elbow) is active, but serving as the team’s backup again.
Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is inactive for the second consecutive game. The Jaguars also are without starting right guard A.J. Cann (triceps).
