PITTSBURGH (AP) -Penguins star Sidney Crosby participated in a morning skate Saturday, but his status for Pittsburgh’s night game against St. Louis was undetermined two days after he left a game with an undisclosed injury.
Crosby left Thursday night’s game against the Phoenix Coyotes early in the third period. After the Penguins’ 4-1 loss, Crosby said he had “some discomfort.”
The team said on its Web site that Crosby is day-to-day.
Crosby is the 2006-07 NHL scoring champion and MVP. He missed 28 games last season with a high ankle sprain.
