DENVER (AP) -The Colorado Avalanche signed former Maple Leafs goalie Andrew Raycroft and forward Darcy Tucker, who both had their contracts bought out by Toronto last week.
Raycroft signed a one-year deal on Tuesday, and Tucker agreed to a two-year contract. The Avalanche also signed Swedish forward Per Ledin to a one-year contract.
Raycroft played in 19 games for Toronto last season, posting a 2-9-5 record with one shutout. He was the NHL rookie of the year in 2004.
Tucker, a noted agitator, had 18 goals and 16 assists in 74 games last season.
Ledin had 16 goals, 17 assists and 137 penalty minutes in 52 games last season with HV 71 Jonkoping of the Swedish Elite League.
